Happy And Contented

Ako na talaga ang busy... busy sa panonoxic sa sarili na wala naman pinatutunguhan. #Residency. Sa mga nakakaalam, quiet na lang kayo, please.

I was actually alarmed kanina sa reaction ni doktora when she learned what residency training program I was taking. Hindi daw ba delikado for my patients? Eto ang kinakatakot ko pag nalalaman nila residency training ko... ethical issues, patient safety... #enoughnaTMI.

Parang hindi organized yung thoughts ko on this entry... Wala sa mood magsulat? Hahaha!

Ayun, galing ako ng RITM Alabang kanina and had my CD4 count, hemoglobin determination (140mg/dL, normal naman... thank you God!), and consultation.

Isa pa palang incident when I got alarmed was when I was talking to a staff when I suddenly excused myself, faced the wall and coughed out loud na may kasamang pagkalutong lutong na tunog ng phlegm. "Yuuuck!!!" reaction ni staff. "Maka-yuck ka naman, ma'am." sagot ko.

Anyway, going back to my count... para hindi mahirap magsulat, ganito na lang...

February 2013: 173
August 2013: 401
February 2014: 294
August 2014: 311

Ang dami daming tao kanina. Kaya pati results ng CD4 inabot ng until 4pm. I decided not to use my "powers" to get my result kaagad. Ayun, inabot nga ako ng 4pm.

9am: Blood extraction
10am: The waiting game
2pm: My vital signs were taken as follows (PR: 104bpm; RR: 22cpm; temp: 36.8oC; oxygen saturation: 98%)
4pm: Finally, the consultation.

Wala sana ko balak sabihin kung ano profession ko kaso nung kinukumusta na ako ni doktora, my mouth spontaneously spoke medical jargon. Sagot ko kasi when she asked me how am I, "Okay naman po. Kaso eto may productive cough and colds for 1 month na." Before she came near to auscultate my chest, binulong nya kung nurse daw ba ako. I hesitantly whispered my answer too, "Doktor po."

Ang pasaway ko daw, bakit wala ako ininom na antibiotics or nagpachest Xray man lang.

Continue ko lang daw yung Lami/Teno/Efav but she gave me Co-Amoxiclav 1g, twice daily to be taken for one week. Binigyan niya rin ako ng request for sputum AFB, and chest Xray.

Okay naman daw CD4 count ko. Tumaas kahit papano. Actually, I was really expecting for it to be lower than the previous one. I was so ready to take that drug resistance workup as told to me earlier by Doc Mark if ever bumaba pa ulit yung count ko today. But God is really good. Tumaas naman siya kahit sobrang dami ng stressors ko this past few months. #Residency

During the waiting game, I happened to bump into some good old mutant friends today. It was nice seeing them again after quite a long while. Talagang sa ospital pa nagkita.

Happy and contented with the result. It was a long but worthwhile wait at RITM Alabang. 'Til my next CD4 count. And 'til my next blog entry. Promise, I'll try to make entries more frequent.

Aja!
