I'm
having fever on the 8th day of my antiretroviral therapy.
It must have been my body’s reaction to the medications. Tama ba? Oh well, tustado na utak ko ngayon sa init eh.
I started with a temp of 37.5oC in the afternoon, associated with body malaise hanggang sa it increased with an increment of 1 to 2oC every hour even with super daming paligo and sponge baths. As of writing, my temperature is currently at 39.2oC.
Question: Kailangan ba magsabon at magshampoo/conditioner ng paulit ulit kapag naligo to bring the fever down?
And pag naka-bathtub, ang gastos nun sa milk ha. Pati sa petals, nakakapagod mamitas ng rose sa garden para sa rose petals. Char!
Maya’t maya agad na napupuno pantog ko kakainom ng super plenty of water.
And to make things a bit worse, ang daming errands ngayon sa bahay. Wala nga ako lakad at nasa bahay lang the whole time, pero grabe sa errands ngayong araw.
I was forced to tell my mom and dad tuloy na I have fever. Hindi ko matiis not totell them. Hehe! Umiiwas na rin sa trabaho sa bahay. Bad!
Ayan tuloy, they were so worried, maya’t maya ako tinatanong kung kumusta na ako. I have to look strong para hindi sila magworry.
They gave me Paracetamol. Oh no! Alam ko, bawal mag Paracetamol during the trial period. Hindi ako uminom but I have to remove it from the foil. Baka mag-isip sila bakit hindi ko ininom. (Eventually, my doc advised me to take Paracetamol for the fever.)

Nagpupunta pa talaga mom ko sa room ko to check on me kung kumusta na ko.
mom: Kumusta na? Uminom ka na ng gamot?
me: Yup. Yung ARVs ko po ininom ko kaya ako nilalagnat.
Syempre hindi ko sinabi yun. How I wish I could tell them na. Pero hindi pa pwede. This will be a premature disclosure kung magkataon.
Para mapanatag siya, I told her that I’ll get CBC tomorrow. And ang ida-diagnose ko sa sarili ko will be Systemic Viral Infection. :) Hindi kailangan inuman ng antibiotic, and supportive treatment lang.
Sana lang maniwala sila sa kembot na gagawin ko.
